Brita DellaBarca Amazing album, some really beautiful moments. Can't wait for the next one Favorite track: To Feel Alive.

Glenn A massive step up from the previous EP, this is quite amazing for a one man band from Lower Hutt, New Zealand. There are familiarities to some well known doomdeath bands but nevertheless a fair bit of variety, with quieter moments and some clean vocals along the way. A good balance overall. For only US$5 this is excellent value. Can't actually pick a clear favourite track so I went with one that invokes one of my all time faves, My Dying Bride. Favorite track: To Feel Alive.

1.
I awake to find no one can hear me Tonight, I am here on my own The sights, the colours are escaping I'll stay right here where they left me Maybe I'm trapped in fearful apprehension Forever waiting for a moment of clarity The pale white coats, the empty space to which they led me This has become my final place I like to sleep in darkness To leave behind the shadows And in the evening whispers I thrash alone in anguish Restlessly wait for sunrise A fickle game to be played And with the light of morning Treatment begins, oh help me Through all the horror and the nightmares The restless sleep, insanity The walls cave in to frown upon me
2.
Pushed into the fire Where you left me to drown I yearned to take you to a place Where the sun sets forever Pull yourself into me Never let go And I will be king Until we end the night Neverending, the plight of our loneliness The sound of a dying swallow Swept to the frost below I heard you whisper in the silence Sweetly, with endeavour Beyond the last wretched cinders A candle lights the way
3.
Please remember in the morning When the doctors try to wake you The dreams we had for tomorrow It never comes, but I'm still waiting Please remember tomorrow When the tears flow down from your eyes The way you looked at me And how you felt in my arms

5.
Step to a quiet place Where spirits fly And protruding signs stop drowning out your vision And know the taste To swallow up each drop of hope Falling just for you Until the moment's gone it's yours forever So hold on tight just like you're dreaming And when you wake it will be gone Hold on Brace yourself Lost in the moment When the street lights turn off A smile left frozen on his face A wretched body left to be
6.
Forever 08:58
Why don't you stay, lay here with me forever Through frost, through rain and moonlit nights Until we find eternal rest beneath the soil I'll pray we never die The bird of death will take me under its wing And fly me to a place where things will never be the same Some day you'll follow me, when light begins to fade And shadow sweeps over the earth on your own darkest day So stay with me beside the fire Before it's too late We'll let our dreams forever take us higher
